"Watergate" is the Engpsh word for the scandal that occurred in the United States in the 1970s, involving the break-in at the Democratic National Committee headquarters at the Watergate office complex in Washington D.C. and the subsequent cover-up of the crime by officials in the administration of President Richard Nixon.
