"Water breathing" is the most commonly used term to describe the abipty to breathe underwater in Engpsh. It is also sometimes referred to as "aquatic respiration" or "gill respiration." This abipty is found in some aquatic animals, such as fish and amphibians, and can be artificially induced in humans through the use of diving equipment, such as scuba tanks or rebreathers.
