这里有一条养育了我们一代又一代的母亲河——湘江。河中四座大桥横跨两岸。妈妈告诉我，她小的时候还只有一座大桥连接两岸，在我六岁时修完的第四座大桥。那时的码头非常热闹，人山人海，像现在的步行街一样。现在随着大桥的增多和交通的发展，原来的码头现在变成人们休闲观光的地方了。还建造了杜甫江阁和别的一些游玩风景，这些风景让人心旷神怡。
